The unit may also be converted for mounting to a wall or ceiling. Follow these steps to mount the ASUS Wireless Router to a wall: 1. Look on the underside for the two mounting hooks. 2. Ma rk t wo u pper ho le s in a î at su rf ac e. 3. T ighten two screws until only 1/4'' is showing. 4. Latch the hooks of the ASUS Wireless Router onto the screws . Getting IP address Automatically The ASUS Wireless Router integrates DHCP server functions, therefore, you can make your PC get IP address automatically from the ASUS Wirelesss Router . High: Only users with the same WP A pre-shared key settings can connect to your wireless router and transmit data using TKIP encryption.

A E S . T K I P A E S ) , WP A-enterprise, WP A2-enterprise, WP A-Auto-Enterprise (TKIP . AES. TKIP AES), Radius with 802.1x WE P st a nd s f or W i r ed E q ui v a le n t Pr i v ac y , it u s e s 64 b it s o r 12 8 b it s s ta t i c ke y s t o e n c r y p t t h e d a t a f o r w i r e l e s s t r a n s m i s s i o n . T o s e t u p W E P k e y s , s e t W E P Encryption to WEP-64bits or WEP-128bits , then manually type in four sets WEP Keys (10 hexa dicim al digi ts for 64- bits key o r 26 hexa dicim al digit s for 128 -bits key). Y ou can also let the system generate the keys by entering a Passphrase . TKIP stands for T emporal Key Integrity Protocol. TKIP dynamically generates unique keys to encrypt every data packet in a wireless session. AES stands for Advance d Encryption St andard. T his solution o ffers str onger protection and increases the complexity of wireless encryption. TKIP AES is used when both WP A and WP A2 clients co-exist in the wireless network. W P A - P e r s o na l p ro t e c t s u n a u t h o r i z e d n e t w o r k a c c e s s b y u t i l i z i n g a s e t - u p password. WP A-enterprise veriîÂÂes network users through a server .

When authentication and encryption are set, click Finish to save the settings and restart the wireless router . 3) Setting up V irtual Server in Y our LAN V i r t u a l S e r v e r i s a N e t w o r k A d d r e s s T r a n s l a t i o n ( N AT ) function which turns a computer within a LAN into a server by allowing data packets of certain service, such as HTTP , from Internet. 1. Click Virtual Server in NA T Setting folder to open the NA T conîÂÂguration page.

C l i c k S a v e & R e s t a r t t o restart the wireless router and activate the settings. 5) Setting up DDNS DNS enables host who uses static IP address to associate with a domain name; fo r dy n am ic I P u s er , th ey c a n al so a s so ci a te w i th a d om a in n am e v ia d yn a mi c DNS (DDNS). DDNS requires reg istering and account-creat ing at DDNS service provide rs' websit e. The D DNS serve r updates y our IP ad dress inf ormation o nce you are assigned to a new IP address. Follow the steps below to conîÂÂgure the device using WCN-Net process of Windows Vista: Note: The WCN Net process of Windows V ista can only discover the deivce when the device is not conîÂÂgured and is in the default settings state. If the device is con - îÂÂgured, you have to set up the device by WEB or EZsetup. Or you can push Reset button and then begin WCN-NET setup. 1. Connect the device to your PC and power on it. 2.
