Device Configuration Procedure 1 With the HP Vectra turned off, install the Intel EtherExpress PRO 100B- TX PCI adapter card into an PCI slot. 2 Connect network cable media to the PRO 100B-TX PCI card. 3 Power on the machine and start Windows 95SR2.5 in MS-DOS mode. 4 Insert the Intel drivers disk, âEtherExpress Ethernet Driversâ and execute âA:\SETUP.EXEâ. 5 Select âVIEW ADAPTER SETTINGSâ and verify the resource settings listed above under the heading âDevice Configurationâ. 6 If changes are required, save those changes and exit. 7 Remove the Intel Software driver diskette and restart the system. 8 When Windows 95 restarts, a message will appear to indicate that a new hardware has been found. 5 Installing the Intel EtherExpress Pro 100B-TX PCI Ethernet Adapter Connecting to a Windows NT 3.51 Server 9 Open the âNetwork Propertiesâ window and agree to install âWindows NT Networkingâ. 10 With âWired to the Networkâ checked, click on âNextâ. 11 Click on the option to âSelect from listâ then on âHave Diskâ. 12 Insert the Intel EtherExpress Pro 100B-TX PCI Ethernet driver disk into the floppy drive. 13 Highlight the adapter labeled âIntel 82557-Based Ethernet PCI Adapter (10/100)â and click on âOKâ. 14 With âIntel 82557-Based Ethernet PCI Adapter (10/100)â listed in the âNetwork Adapters:â windows, click on âNextâ. 15 Accept the applicable network protocols and click on âNextâ. 16 At the âNetwork Services:â prompt, accept default settings and click on âNextâ. 17 Finish the network card installation by clicking on âNextâ. 18 Designate the path to your NT files and select âContinueâ. 19 At the âPCI Configuration Notificationâ window, click on âOKâ. 20 Click on âOKâ for âIntel PROSetâ dialog box. 21 Click on âYesâ to use DHCP or choose âNOâ if you know your IP Address. 22 At the âShow Bindings for:â prompt, accept default settings and click on âNextâ. 23 When âWindows NT is now ready to start the networkâ¦â click on âNextâ. 24 Specify your Computer Name, Workgroup or Domain and click on âNextâ. 25 After âNetwork has been installed on this computerâ click on âFinishâ.
