Us ing pre vie w mode You can us e the Ima ge Displa y as a viewfind er and show a mor e acc ur ate vie w of wh at yo ur p icture will l o o k like. This is useful for close-up photos a nd for instan ces in which framing yo ur sub j e ct p recisel y is im port ant. To take a picture by using the Imag e Displ ay: 1 Pr es s th e Dis pla y b u t ton to activ a te P r ev iew mode. 2 F r a me y ou r s u bject in the Im age D isplay , and th en press the Shutter butto n . In the Previe w scre en, t he cu rrent ima ge qu alit y sett ing ( 1, 2, or 3 st ars) is show n in the lower -left cor ner , with t he re main ing pi ctur e count to th e right o f the i m age qu alit y icon s. If you s elect ed an y manual ex posure settings, they are displ a yed on the top o f the screen. In ad dition to taki ng pictur es an d re cord i ng vide o, you can zoom in on you r su bject, a djust the fl ash setting , or incre ase the qual ity of your image —all f rom within P review mode.
