2 A. Extent of limited warra nty 1. Hewlett-Pack ard (HP) warrants to the en d-user customer (Cu stomer) that each HP p roduct specified a bove (Product) shall be free from defects in mater ial and workmanship fo r the period specified a bove. The warranty per iod begins on the date of purchase by Cust omer . 2. For each software product, HPâs limited warranty appl ies only to a failur e to execute progra mming instructions . HP does not warrant tha t the operation of any P roduct will be uninterrupte d or error free. 3. HPâs limited warranty covers only those defects that arise as a res ult of normal use of a Product, and does n ot cover any other p roblems, including those that arise as a result of: a. Improper us e, maintenance, sto rage, handling, or mod ification; b. Deficiencie s in any consum able used with the Prod uct, such as batter y leakage; c. Software, media, parts, acces sories, supplies, o r power adapters or so urces not provided or supported by HP; or , d. Operation o r other conditions outside a Productâs specifi cations. 4. If HP receives , during the applica ble warranty period, noti ce of a defect in a Product, HP shall at its option eit her replace or repair th e defective Product. 5. If HP cann ot replace or repair a defe ctive Product that is covered by HP â s limit ed warranty , HP may , within a reas onable time after being notified of the defec t, provide either ano ther product simil ar in performanc e or a refund of the pur chase price prorated based on usage and other appropriate factors. 6. HP shall have no obliga tion to replace, repair , or refund until Custo mer returns the defective Produc t to HP and prov ides a valid proof of purchase. 7. Any replac ement product may be e ither new or like-new, provided it has func tionality at least e qual to that of the Product being repla ced. 8. A Product m ay contain remanufac tured parts, components, or material s equivalent to ne w in performanc e. 9. HPâs limited warra nty is valid in any country or local ity where HP has a su pport presence for the Product and has marketed the Pro duct. The level of warr anty service may va ry according to loca l standards. Upgr aded warranty servic es, such as nex t day exchange, on-s ite service, and acci dent protection, m ay be purchased from HP . B. Hewlett-Pack ard (HP) warrants to the en d-user customer (Cu stomer) that each HP p roduct specified a bove (Product) shall be free from defects in mater ial and workmanship fo r the period specified a bove. The warranty per iod begins on the date of purchase by Cust omer . 2. For each software product, HPâs limited warranty appl ies only to a failur e to execute progra mming instructions . HP does not warrant tha t the operation of any P roduct will be uninterrupte d or error free. 3. HPâs limited warranty covers only those defects that arise as a res ult of normal use of a Product, and does n ot cover any other p roblems, including those that arise as a result of: a. Improper us e, maintenance, sto rage, handling, or mod ification; b. Deficiencie s in any consum able used with the Prod uct, such as batter y leakage; c. Software, media, parts, acces sories, supplies, o r power adapters or so urces not provided or supported by HP; or , d. Operation o r other conditions outside a Productâs specifi cations. 4. If HP receives , during the applica ble warranty period, noti ce of a defect in a Product, HP shall at its option eit her replace or repair th e defective Product. 5. If HP cann ot replace or repair a defe ctive Product that is covered by HP â s limit ed warranty , HP may , within a reas onable time after being notified of the defec t, provide either ano ther product simil ar in performanc e or a refund of the pur chase price prorated based on usage and other appropriate factors. 6. HP shall have no obliga tion to replace, repair , or refund until Custo mer returns the defective Produc t to HP and prov ides a valid proof of purchase. 7. Realizar un us o inadecuado, manteni miento, almacenam iento, tratamiento o modific ación del producto. b.
