7 2 Connec t th e T V , A C power adapter , an d USB c ables to th e r ight- ha nd s ide of th e do ck. # Ico n Des cr ip tio n 1 Connect t he dock t o a TV using the au d io/v ideo cab le w it h the p art number C63 2 4 -61601. Co n n e ct th e ye ll ow c on ne ctor to th e vid e o i np ut, a nd th e r e d co n n e ct or to th e aud io i np ut on you r TV , V C R , o r D V D pl a y e r . 2 Connect the A C powe r adapter to the DC I N co n n e ct or o n th e d ock, pl u g th e p ower co r d i nto th e A C pow er adapter , and plug the pow er c or d int o a w a ll o utlet . If mor e than o ne po we r cor d is in th e box , use the cor d that is a ppr opr iat e f or po w er outlets in y our country . T he A C po w er adapter f or th e doc k is t he s ame a s t he on e us ed f or y o ur R - ser ies camera . I f no pow er adapter came with your dock, u se the on e that cam e with y our camera . 3 Connect the dock to your co mputer or pr inter using the appr opr iate U SB cable . Y ou cannot connect the dock to both a computer and a prin ter at the same time . The U SB ca b le to u se f o r conne cting t o a computer or a non-HP p r inte r is part number C8 88 7â8000 3, and it c ame in the b o x with th e do ck . Chec k that the dock pow er light blinks when the camer a is in the do ck . Th e c a m e ra is not re c o g n ize d by t h e computer when it is in th e do ck . Th e d o ck is connected t o th e c om p ut er th roug h a US B hub o r th e US B port on the f r ont of the comput er . Connect the U SB cable dir e c tly to one of the USB ports on the bac k of the c omput er . The USB cable connecting the dock to the comput er is bad. T r y c onnecting the camera dir ectl y to the c o mpu te r usi n g the cab l e th a t is connecting the dock to the co mpu ter . If it w or ks , th en th e pr oblem is not the cable . R u n the dock f unction alit y test b y unplugging the po wer cor d f rom the do ck , then holding down th e two buttons on the f r ont of the dock while y ou plug the po we r c or d back in to the do ck , and continue holding t he butt ons down . If t he dock l ights come on in 5 seconds (blinking o r so lid), then the doc k is fu l ly fu n c t io n a l. Ca nnot display images on the TV . Th e T V is no t se t to th e cor r ect input mode . Ch e ck you r T V us e r âs m a n u a l to s e t the TV to accept vid e o or input mode . A udio and v ideo cables ar e sw itched .
