Product and safety information Digital rights management Content owners ma y use different types of digital r ights manage ment (DRM) techno logies to prot ect their intelle ctual propert y, including copyrights. Thi s device uses various typ es of DRM soft ware to access DRM-prot ected content. Wi th this device you ca n access content protected with WMDRM 10, O MA DRM 1.0, OMA DRM 1.0 forward lock, and OMA D RM 2.0. If certain DRM software fails to protect t he content, content owner s may ask that such DRM software's ab ility to access new DRM-protected content be revoked. Revocation ma y also prevent renewal of such DRM-protec ted content alrea dy in your de vice. Revocation of such D RM software does not affect the use of content protected with other types of DRM or the use of non-DRM-protect ed content. Digital rights management (DRM) pr otected content comes wi th an associated licence that de fines your rights to use the content. If your device has OMA DRM-protected content, to back up both the lic ence and the content, use the backup feature of Nokia PC Suite. Green tips 57
Other transfer metho ds may not tr ansfer the licence whi ch need to be resto red with the content for you to be able to continue the use of OMA DRM-pro tected content a fter the device memory is format ted. You may also need to restore the licence in case the files on your device ge t corrupted.
