Certification info rmation (SAR) This mobile device meets guidelines for exposure to radio waves. Your mobile de vice is a radi o transmitter and receiver. It is design ed not to ex ceed the limits for exposure to radio wa ves recommende d by internat ional guidel ines. The se guidelin es were deve loped by th e independ ent scient ific orga nisation ICNIRP and includ e safety margins de signed to assure the protectio n of all pe rsons, regardle ss of age and heal th. The exposure guid elines for mobile d evices employ a unit of measurement know n as the Specific Ab sorption Rate or S AR. The SAR limit stated in the ICNIRP guidelines is 2.0 watt s/kilogram (W/kg) averaged o ver 10 grams of tissue. Tests for SAR are conducted usin g standard operati ng positions with the d evice transmitting at its highest certified power l evel in all tested frequenc y bands. The actua l SAR level of an op erating device c an be below the max imum value be cause the device is designed to use only the power required to reach the network. That amount changes depending on a number of factors such as how close you are to a net work base station. The highest S AR value under t he ICNIRP guide lines for use of the device a t the ear is 1.04 W/kg. Use of device acce ssories may result in different SAR va lues. SAR values may var y depending on natio nal reporting and testing requi rements and the network b and. Additiona l SAR information may be provided under product information at www.nokia.com.
