Installing and setting up First you have to download the modem .inf file from h ttp://www.forum.nokia.com or if you have the Nokia 8850 you will find that modem .inf file on t he CD-ROM enclosed with the sales packag e. After you hav e found the .inf file for your Nokia phone go to My Compu ter – Control Panel – Mode ms (Figure 1). Figure 1. Entering Modems to add a new modem.

A l l rights reserved. 2(4) Double click on the Modems ic on to en ter Modems Properties t o add a new mod em and after that c lick on Add… (Figure 2) and follow the instruc tions (Figures 3-12). Select Virtual Infrared C OM Port and select Next >. Figure 11. Figure 12. Click Finish. You have now successfully ins talled a new modem in Windows. Just r estart your computer and your new modem is ready for use.
