It is de signed and manufactured not to exceed the limits for exp osure to radio frequency (RF) recommended by international guideline s (ICNIRP). T hese limits are p art of comprehensive guideline s and establish permitted levels of RF energy for the general population. The guidelines we re developed by independent scientific organizations through periodic and thorou gh evaluat ion of scientific studie s. The gui delines include a substantial safety margin des igned to assure the safety of al l persons, regardless of age and health. The exposure standard for mobile devices employs a unit of meas urement known as the Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR. Th e SAR limit s tated in the international guidelines is 2.0 wat ts/kilogram (W/kg)*. Tests for SAR are conducted using standard operating positions with t he devi ce transmitting at its highest certified power level i n all test ed frequency bands. Although t he SAR is determined at the highest certified power level, the actual SA R of the device while operating can be well below the maximum value. This is becaus e the device is designed t o operate at multiple power l evels so as to use only the power re quired to re ach the network. In general, the closer you are to a base st ation, the lower the power output of the device. The highest SAR value for this device when tested for use at the ear is 0.77 W/kg.
