Recor d fr om CD 1 Switch the source selector to CD . 2 Inser t a CD with the pr inted side facing up. 3 If y ou want to record tr acks in the desired sequence , program the desired tr acks (see ‘Progr am play sequence’ ) . 4 Press to open the cassette holder . 5 Inser t a blank cassette . 6 Close the holder . 7 Press to star t to record. If y ou encounter problems when using this Soundmachine, check the follo wing points before requesting ser vice . When you contact Philips, ensure that your Soundmachine is nearby and the model number and serial number are a vailable (see ‘Get star ted’ ) . No pow er Ensure that the pow er cord is connected securely . • Ensure that there is pow er at the pow er supply sock et. • Ensure that the batter ies are installed cor rectly . • No sound Adjust the volume. • Ensure that the tr ack play ed is of a compatible format. • Displa y does not function pr operly ./No reaction to operation of an y of the contr ols. 1 Disconnect the A C pow er cord. 2 Connect the A C pow er cord after a few seconds. Cannot pla y disc Ensure that the disc label is inser ted with the pr inted side facing up. • Wipe the disc with fi bre cleaning cloth from the centre to the edge in a • str aight line . This disc may be def ective . Pla y another disc . •
Ensure that the CD is a fi nalised CD/CD-R/CD-R W . • Ensure that the laser lens is clean. • Ensure that the CD is not encoded with cop yr ight protection • technologies.
