Philips VidQuad Color Video Processors TC8278 Specifications
The TC8278 Series video pr ocessors digitally captur e the full video fr om up to eight sources, displa y them selectivel y full screen, or reduces these images to quarter -screen size, and combines them to pro vide a tw o page quad displa y . The TC8278 Series will accept monochr ome and/or color inputs and pro vide monochr ome and/or color displa y capabilities in the full screen and quad modes. The TC8278 requir es no external synchronization and accepts inputs from an y EIA, RS-170 525 line, 2:1 interlaced sour ce. The TC8278X accepts inputs fr om any P AL, CCIR 625 line, 2:1 interlaced source. The TC8278 Series pro vide tw o monitor outputs. The MON A output displa ys two digital quad formats of the eight inputs or a full screen image of any of the input cameras. Full screen displa ys, including the VCR input, ha v e positional 2X electr onic zoom capability . Fr eeze and zoom capabilities are a vailable with MON A. The second output, MON B, is used for selecting analog full screen displa ys of the eight video inputs. A user programmable sequence is a vailable on the MON B output. Both the MON A and MON B outputs displa y a user display selectable camera ID number , programmable titles, time/date, and on- screen status inf ormation. Automatic gain and lev el circuits pro vide balanced brightness and contrast in all quadrants. The TC8278 Series achiev e a real time update rate (30 frames-per -second) when used with line-lock ed cameras. Fr ont panel contr ols allow passw ord pr otected menu access, and full manual operation of both MON A and MON B functions. Monitor sequence featur es offer a 16 entry list which can include the quad displa y , and adjustable dwell of 1 to 99 seconds. On-screen men u access pr ovides user pr ogrammable operational and displa y modes. Alarm contacts pr ovide r emote call up of any of the eight camera inputs on the MON B monitor , and selectable full screen on MON A monitor . Other alarm featur es include a flashing on- screen "ALM" indicator , an alarm output rela y for contr ol of a VCR or other alarm activated devices, front panel alarm clear , and user pr ogrammable alarm captur e.
